A resident of Okinawa Prefecture, he is a professor at Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts. He pursues his own unique style of stencil dyeing, based on the traditional techniques of Bingata, with a focus on the nature and climate of Okinawa. In recent years, he has also been working on kimono production, something he had not done in a long time, and these kimono works will also be on display at this exhibition. Please come and see them.
